Exclusive Kaisee Benjamin interview
Birmingham's Kaisee Benjamin will be looking to perform infront of the tv cameras on Saturday night when he takes on Martin Harkin at the Coventry Skydome arena live on Channel 5.
Benjamin has a record of 11 victories 1 draw and only 1 defeat in his career so far but there is plenty more to come from the exciting 25 year old Welterweight.
Thanks for your time , first of all , how are you and how is training and life at the moment?
'I'm good thank you , life's good at the moment everything seems to be falling in to place and training has gone well and it is finally fight week.'
This weekend you are coming up against Martin Harkin , what are you expecting from your opponent on fight night and what strengths of yours do you think will help you win this fight?
' I'm expecting him to be game and come forward, I think he will be relentless. I think my switch-hitting will play a big part in me getting the win and also my reactions.'
On Saturday night , fans will be attending a boxing show in the UK for the first time this year , are you looking forward to the return of spectators and your fans?
'I am looking forward to be a part of the first show in the UK that is allowed fans to attend this year but I'm more excited for my fans as they are loyal supporters and haven't got the chance to watch me fight since 7th March 2020 when i beat Shaq Day.'
If you overcome Harkin , who would you like to fight this year , a big name or try for a title?
'Although I'm not looking past Harkin , when I beat him I'd like a shot at the British title as that has my name written all over it.'
What is your main goal for the sport and what do you want to achieve?
'My main goal in boxing is to make my family proud but I'd love to win a World title.'
