Daniel Dubois vs Bogdan Dinu - Preview & predictions

Daniel Dubois makes his much anticipated return to the ring on Saturday night to headline a night of boxing live on BT Sport.

'Dynamite' Daniel Dubois will return to the ring just six months after suffering a career first defeat to Joe Joyce and sustaining a damaging eye injury in the process.

Dubois has recently moved to trainer Shane McGuigan after Mark Tibbs informed him that he has other commitments and wouldn't be able to train Daniel. McGuigan and Dubois have only been together a few weeks so it is unlikely we will see vast improvements for the Brit but no doubt in the future Dubois will look like a seriously improved fighter just like all of McGuigan's stable have over recent times.

Standing in his way of a successful comeback , 6 foot 5 , Bogdan Dinu who fights out of Bucharest , Romania. Dinu has only lost twice to date in his professional career , once to former world title challenger Kubrat Pulev and the other came against Jarrell Miller.

Dinu will be no pushover for Dubois , the first real test of his career not including Joe Joyce , this type of fight would have been a good step up before the Joyce fight instead of coming up against fighters with padded records and scoring early knockout wins and learning next to nothing in the fights.

Prediction ; I predict an explosive knockout from Dubois in round 4-6 and I think we will slight improvements in his game since his link up with trainer Shane McGuigan.

Featuring on the undercard , hugely popular Stoke man , Nathan Heaney who will be bringing his army of loyal supporters to the Telford International Centre on Saturday night will face Bulgarian Iliyan Markov in the middleweight division. Unbeaten welterweight Daniel Buciuc faces Naeem Aki. Tommy Fury lookes to make it 6-0 as a professional against unbeaten Jordan Grant. George Bance , Adan Mohamed , Caoimhin Agyarko and Liam Davies also feature on the card live on BT Sport.
