Kash Ali retains IBF European title with win over Roman Gorst
Kash Ali made a successful defence of his IBF European title over Roman Gorst in seven rounds at the Ponds Forge Arena in Sheffield.
Coming in to the fight, Kash had four consecutive wins since his sole defeat to David Price in 2019 and is looking to put his name back in the heavyweight mix after last nights win.
Kash looked somewhat uninterested at times in the fight but always had control over his opponent Gorst, who was game but never really troubled Ali. Gorsts corner pulled him out before the start of the eighth round with seemingly a broken jaw.
"I know I've got things to improve on, I'm not the finished article. I'm improving and improving fight by fight. I'm 29 years old coming in to my peak and I believe I will become heavyweight champion of the world" said Kash Ali in his post fight interview.
