Franchon Cruz-Dezurn vs Elin Cederroos Undisputed Preview

Dazn is the place to catch the historical celebration of Womens Boxing with the main course of Taylor Serrano! However it is the undercard that grabs our attention here with a tasty appetiser to the main event with another undisputed clash but at 168lbs as the Super Middleweight titles go up in the air between WBC & WBO Queen Franchon Crews-Dezurn and the IBF & WBA Empress Elin Cederroos.

From the mecca of Boxing Madison Square Gardens there is a real opportunity that this fight could steal the show. Sweden’s own Super Trouper Elin Cederroos (8-0 4 KOs) is entering her 4th year as IBF champion since picking up the vacant title against German Femke Hermans and last time out picked up the WBA strap against Alicia Napoleon so will be making first defence of that title here.

The former professional Footballer who has been out of the ring since January 2020 will approach this fight as the underdog but does have the superior dimensions being the taller fighter and with her stationary and sometimes awkward footwork Cederroos will be looking to impose her physical presence on her shorter opponent.

Originally the fight was due to happen on Triller back in September and leaves both women out of the ring for over a year and will be looking to get rid of the ring rust nice and early for this one. There will not be a better platform for either lady to perform and be the winner that takes it all.

The reigning WBO and WBC Super Middleweight champion American Franchón Crews-Dezurn (7-1-0 2ko 1nc). The Heavy Hitting Diva is not one to shy away from a challenge taking on the self proclaimed GWOAT Claressa Shields in her debut.

Since then Crews-Dezurn has rebuilt in emphatic fashion picking up the vacant WBC belt in a hard fought victory over Maricela Cornejo and 2 fights later in her 7th outing added the WBO title to her collection against the same opponent.

Franchon is going to be the aggressor in this contest and although she has the shorter dimensions, Crezs-Dezurn has the reach advantage and with her lateral movement and come forward style will be looking to land her signature overhand right to slow and score points to force the victory here.

Undisputed is the pinnacle of our sport with the 4 belts and Ring Magazine number 1 status up for grabs! The winner will be in the upper echelons of the pound for pound list and be targeting the winner of Claressa Shields and Savannah Marshall fights as they are going to be the money fights - both these girls are the wrong side of 30 and will want to secure finance and glory before they sail of into the sunset

For me I see Franchon Crews-Dezurns movement, educated pressure and heavier hands being enough to get the points victory in this one in a close action packed encounter. Can this steal the show away from Serrano and Taylor?
