Weekend Betting Preview | Charlo Castano | Udofia Bentley
This weekend we have a host of intriguing and close fights, British title action to an unmissable undisputed clash in the states. I’ll be providing my betting tips for this weekends action.
First off we head to the indigo @ the O2 where we have a genuine 50/50 British title fight between Linus Udofia & Denzel Bentley. Both fighters are very similar in ability but I edged towards Udofia in terms of Boxing IQ. Bentley has a much higher KO ratio than Udofia which makes him a big threat going in to the fight.
Tip - Udofia by Decision or Technical decision 3/1
Also on Friday night we have World title action at the OVO Hydro in Scotland as Hannah Rankin defends her world titles. On the undercard we see Nathaniel Collins defend his Commonwealth title against Jacob Robinson.
I’m going for a Collins knockout victory in this one to keep up his run of stopping his last three opponents.
Collins KO - 1/1
Over to America and we see Jermell Charlo vs Brian Castano for the undisputed super welterweight crown in California. The pair met in July last year and battled to a draw.
In this fight I’m favouring Charlo to claim Undisputed status with a points victory over Castano. I believe it’ll be a fairly close fight but I back Charlo to improve on his performance in the last fight, just like he did when he avenged his defeat to Tony Harrison.
Charlo by Decision or Technical Decision 13/10
A treble on these three selections would give you the odds of 19/1
Long shots
Sean Dodd by decision 10/1
Josh Kelly by decision 9/2
